Ormond Beach Family YMCA, 8.23.17 – The Ormond Beach Family YMCA and community members will officially break ground on the Ormond Beach YMCA Dog Park on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 10:00 am.
The Ormond Beach YMCA dog park is the second phase of the Ormond YMCA renovations and is expected to be completed by early to mid-2018. The Ormond Beach YMCA community dog park vision came together thanks to the city of Ormond Beach, the ECHO grant committee, and generous community donors.
The dog park at the Ormond Beach Family YMCA will give our Ormond community a safe space for both dogs and people to exercise and socialize, continuing to build a strong community bond.
There will be no fee for the use of the dog park other than the $5.00 purchase of a Y doggie membership card. The Y will require registration and a copy of current shot records for all dog owners prior to use of the park. The Ormond Beach YMCA will offer programs for an additional program fee. Programs being offered include:
- Obedience Training
- Agility Training
- People/Doggie Boot Camps
Members of the community and their dogs, on a leash, are welcome to attend the groundbreaking.
The Ormond Beach Family YMCA is located at 500 Sterthaus Drive, Ormond Beach, FL 32724
