The Holly Hill Family YMCA is proud to present a new workout experience for Volusia County, called Y-Zone.
Y-Zone is a group personal training workout broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. This High Intensive Interval Training (HIIT) will include heart rate monitoring and is the first of its kind for the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA, exclusively coming to the Holly Hill Y.

Y-Zone heart-rate monitors are worn during class, which brings an entirely new element to your workout. Backed by the science of Excess Post-exercise oxygen consumption, the YZone heart rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Led by skilled instructors, participants will use a variety of NEW equipment recently added to the Holly Hill YMCA including treadmills, rowers, TRX suspension training and free weights.
This hour-long interval fitness class includes resistance training, cardio, agility, suspension training, and high-energy exercises for your entire body.
Your Y-Zone class will be split into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. These fitness workouts incorporate endurance, strength and power elements through a variety of equipment including rowers, spin suspension training, free weights – and your own body weight!
Participants are encouraged to wear Y-Zone heart-rate monitors during class, which brings an entirely new element to your workout and are designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that quickens metabolism and boosts energy.

Welcome, Liz Conquest to the Holly Hill Y-Zone team! Liz has worked in Volusia County Schools as an athletic trainer and has taught first aid and safety. She was also a Collegiate Division 1 athletic trainer for Bethune Cookman University. Liz’s passion lies in helping people reach their fitness goals. Liz believes proper nutrition along with an active, healthy lifestyle will lead to her clients to a better life. We are thrilled to have Liz join our Y-Zone team!
